Kimbarra Wines is nestled in the local rolling hills of Great Western. As a third generation winery, the Leeke family first planted vines on the fine wool property in 1978 and now has a long established an award-winning history with their Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon & Shiraz varietals. For those who have been lucky enough to enjoy a glass, their Sparkling Shiraz is also an utterly delicious experience!
Peter Leeke is a former Great Western FNC premiership player from our team back in 1972 and is now a Life Member. His family continue to have strong connections with the club, including his grandchildren who now play Under 12s football and in the club's Net-Set-Go netball program. Not to mention their daughter Kim also continues to take to the netball court each year in our A & B Grade teams, and that both her and her husband (fellow sponsor Tim from Western Plumbing who's also a past seniors player) are both Life Members themselves. Talk about GWFNC royalty.
